What is exactly  trekking with dromedaries?

In the morning, right after breakfast, we leave for a 2-3 hours tour with an half way break (cookies and dates). Lunch takes place in the desert, under a palm tree shade and is followed by a short free-time elapse (to rest, read or simply enjoy the silence....). This is followed by another 2-3 hours afternoon march to reach the camp just in time to admire the sunset.  Day ends with dinner and berbers singing (saharoui) under the berbers tents or igloo tents. All meals consist of traditional dishes (vegetarian dishes also available) with mint tea to drink.

What should I bring to the desert trekking experience?

Please make sure you pack as follows:

• sleeping bag
• back- pack
• travel bag (trolleys are to avoid to protect or camels!)
• flash light (preferably frontal) with spare batteries
• sun glasses
• lighter 
• closable nylon bags (different sizes) to protect your garments from sand
• toiletteries
• tissues
• sun lotion
• plastic cups
• small travel towel with glove
• digestive system medecines

It is stricly forbidden to drink Qued river water (only mineral water is allowed)

Is it possible to take kids to desert trekking?

Absolutely! Desert D’Or offers special programs to stimulate kids’ interest, according to their age.
