3 days tour from and back to Marrakech

Travel Itinerary:: Ait Benhaddou - M'Hamid - Erg Chegaga - Foum Zguid - Tazenakht

3 days, 2 nights, full board

Day 1

Early morning departure on 4x4 WD from Marrakech Hotel. We will be travelling across the High Atlas Tizi-n-Tichka with a stop in Ait Benhaddou, Morocco's most famous kasbah. Lunch in Kasbah Tamnougalte. We will then continue our trip partly off road through the Draa River valley with its countless palm trees and old Kasbahs. After Zagora we will stop in Tamgroute to visit the famous Coran library and underground kasbah. Dinner will take place either in a nice hotel in M'Hmid or under a Berber tent in a desert camp.

Day 2

Breakfast and 2/3 hours camel ride in the midst of the desert. Pick up on 4X4 WD at approximately 10:30 am and travel through an amazing desert landscape to Sacred Oasis (Holy Oasis). Lunch break. The Sacred Oasis consists of a small group of palm trees around a water source in the midst of the desert, running all year long. The Nomads come here with their herds for soaking. Departure around 4:00 p.m. to reach the dunes of Chegaga, 15 km away. The largest group of dunes of the region reaches a 300m height and a 40 km length. We will be spending the night under the nomads’ tents in the dunes. Dinner with entertainment.

Day 3

Breakfast and departure on 4x4 WD along the old Paris-Dakar road to Foum Zguid, crossing Iriqui lake. Lunch break in Taznakht. Arrival to Marrakech at approximately 6:30 p.m.
