5 days tour from and back to Marrakech

Travel Itinerary: Ait Benhaddou - Ouarzazate - Gole del Dades e di Todra - Tazzarine - Zagora - Tamgroute - M'Hamid - Erg Chegaga - Foum Zguid - Tazenakht

5 days, 4 nights, full board

Day 1

Early morning departure on 4x4 WD from Marrakech hotel. We will be traveling across the High Atlas Tizi-n-Tichka with a stop in  Ait Benhaddou. We will be reaching Ouarzazate to visit the Cinema studios and the Kasbah of Taourirte. Lunch will be served in Ouarzazate. We will then make our way towards the gorges of Dades through breathtaking landscapes. Dinner and over night stay in a hotel.

Day 2

Breakfast in hotel and departure to the little gorges of Todra for a visit. We will then head out towards the village of N'Kob for lunch break. After lunch we will be traveling along Draa river’s valley with many picture- taking stops; evening arrival to Zagora, dinner in hotel or riad; overnight stay in a hotel.

Day 3

Breakfast in hotel and departure for  M'Hamid. Stop in Tamgroute to visit a Koran library, an underground kasbah and see  pottery handcrafts. Arrival to M'Hamid for lunch. Around 3 p.m we will be starting a 2 hours camel ride. Dinner and overnight stay in the camp under the nomad tents.

Day 4

Breakfast and 2 hours camel ride in the midst of the desert (optional). Pick up on 4x4 WD at about 10:30 am and excursion along beautiful desert landscape to the Sacred Oasis (Holy Oasis). Lunch break. The Sacred Oasis consists of a small group of palm trees surrounding a water source in the midst of the desert, running water all year long. Nomads come here with their heards for soaking. Departure at about 4 p.m. to reach the dunes of Chegaga, 15 km away. The largest group of dunes of the region reaches a 300 m height and a 40 km length. We will be spending the night under the nomad tents in the dunes. Dinner with entertainment.

Day 5

Breakfast and departure on 4x4 WD along the old Paris-Dakar road to Foum Zguid, crossing Iriqui lake. Lunch break in Taznakht. Arrival in Marrakech at approx. 6:30 p.m.
